My Quals

What do I have to offer?

Kick-ass planning and admin skills from my days in marketing, a keen eye & solution-oriented approach, and a hefty scoop of lived experience as an Autistic woman with some ripper ADHD, to name a few things. Add to that a nurturing personality (former music educator here) and we’re cooking. I value creating joy and ease above all else, and showing up authentically for my clients. Respect and dignity are at the centre of my approach.

Education: Bachelor of Music (Honours), Bachelor of Media (Communications & Journalism), UNSW

LET'S DO THIS!

Our Values

Authenticity

You deserve support without added pressure. We aim to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and connected by fostering authentic communication and encouraging you to show up as you are.

Dignity

All you’re looking for is some extra support; we get that. When looking for assistance, we find some workers can get hung up on the disability factor… and act a bit weird about it. We don’t tolerate ableism here.

Our sessions are grounded in mutual respect, mindfulness and acceptance.

Inclusivity

We're committed to creating an environment where everyone feels completely safe, valued, and welcomed. We celebrate and honour diversity in all its forms, fostering a space of inclusivity and respect for all individuals.

Curiosity

We honor your unique perspective as the expert on yourself. By being attentive listeners, we create space for your insights to emerge, fostering collaboration and meaningful support.

Compassion

Our care is rooted in firsthand experience and understanding, so we connect with empathy and leave judgement at the door.

With kindness and compassion, we hope to help put your overloaded nervous system at ease.

Consistency

We’re here to show up, stick around, and be clear about what we mean.

OUR ORIGIN

Annabelle’s Story

I come from a diverse background of disciplines— so why support work?

My professional journey began in media and the arts, where I studied journalism and trained as a classical pianist and performance poet. I wanted to spend my life on stage and my downtime with a pen in hand. Alongside my education, I volunteered in animal welfare and worked as an accompanist and piano teacher, developing a passion for inclusive, needs-oriented teaching, finding that disabled students came to me for my gentle approach.

My chosen paths, no matter their labels, centred on service, community and justice. I was driven, passionate, and buzzing to see where life would go. I thought for a long time that if I pushed my limits hard and tried to live a full life in spite of my physical health issues and disabilities, I would come out on top. Pedal to the metal, I’d crush the barriers and I wouldn’t slow down, no matter what life threw at me! So I worked hard, and when I tired, I pushed harder.

As it goes, with so much on my shoulders, life came crashing down. The weight of my disabilities and the constant struggle to manage them with very little support reached a breaking point. During my honours year, while working full-time (and years into navigating a discriminatory healthcare system), I became completely incapacitated. Suddenly, I had to rely on others in ways I couldn’t believe. I experienced firsthand how crucial compassionate, reliable support workers are, but these people were hard to find and exhausting to search for.

Instead of giving up on a system that was failing me and causing needless stress, I prioritised my recovery and channelled my frustration into the change I wanted to see. I learned to work with my disabilities instead of against them, and made sure that I could practice what I preached.

So, Morningspell bloomed — a space built on empathy, reliability, and real understanding. It runs on a simple principle: support without the added stigma.

Today, I draw on both my lived experience and professional background to provide empowering support for clients who find themselves in my shoes. Sometimes, what we need most is someone who really gets it.

Why Morningspell?

I wanted to create a service that shows you who I am. Fond of living in my own little world of enchantment and optimism (and ornately bejewelled objects), I value simple joys, noble endeavours, and the fantasy that life brings. Morningspell is a reflection of that.

I know it’s far from simple managing life’s burdens, especially when we’re doing it alone. Add to that a complex and onerous disability sector, and the odds are stacked against us.

I’ve seen firsthand the failure of support systems— and lack of dignity and respect— in an industry meant to empower people during their most vulnerable moments. So, I decided to create the change I was looking for.

And Morningspell was born: a remote support system that values professionalism, accountability, authenticity & dignity.

I’m your version of Aurora’s twittering birds, tidying away the mess that accumulates in the corners of your life.

Welcome to Morningspell, new friend. Let’s journey together.
